  • Jessica Wodarczyk says:

I have followed Jen Bilodeau’s work for awhile and was SO excited to join her class. I’m so glad I took this as a full participant. Not only is Jen a talented photographer, she is an excellent teacher. The course materials were very comprehensive, from the PDF to the videos. Jen goes through the entire process: setting objectives, developing vision, making connections, as well as technical, composition and editing aspects. She also addresses how to deal with creative ruts and confidence issues. Jen and her TA Ebony provided an interactive, fun, supportive environment. I really learned a lot about not only photography, but myself as well. I was sad when it ended!

  • Stacie Dugas says:

What can I say about Jen Bilodeau, except that her work is everything for me. It is so full of life and emotion that is captured in an authentic way, something that I think all photographers strive for. This workshop is so full of “meat”. She has left nothing out and is always thorough in answering any questions that come her way. Excellent class that I would recommend for everyone.

  • I don’t even know where to start, if you are thinking about taking this class, don’t think, register. Jen is the perfect balance of high energy positive support and constructive advice. She takes a TON of time answering every question, big or small, and jumping in to give a tip or help you get your image where you want it. I have learned more from this 4 week class than all the presets, Youtubes, classes I’ve bought on facebook etc. You have a wonderful community as well that exposes you to even more talent, imagery and ideas. Jen is so talented and you can tell she really enjoys helping others and the successes she can help them achieve. Jen thank you so much for you dedication, hard work, and feeling of confidence you helped give me. I am forever grateful!

  • This course was perfectly what i needed. A push, a review, an encouragment and lots of information, tips and tricks I didn’t know yet! Jen is great! She helps you all the way, encourages you and has put unbelievable work in her PDF and videos. IT IS REALLY A LOT!! In the next few weeks I will be going back to the pdf, videos and all the material, because there is still so much to try, learn, practice. Watching her work, edit and commenting on our work is just perfect. Thank you Jen and ebony for having me and helping me during these weeks.

  • Jenna Brown says:

I’m loving this workshop and have been completely inspired. Jen starts you on a journey to re-examine your creative thought-process and empowers you to really look for and capture authentic connection and emotion. The amount of information that is shared in the PDF’s is quite remarkable – I know I’ll be referencing these regularly in the near future. The behind-the-scenes videos are fascinating and the energy the class takes on in the forums is contagious. Jen is beyond-generous with her time – she gives thoughtful, thorough critiques and is very accessible for any and all questions. She’s encouraging, inclusive, and gives meaningful advice. This has been my first class with clickinmom’s and it’s been a really positive experience.

  • Niv says:

It took me forever to hit “Purchase” for this workshop. I have been spending so much money on classes who promise to show me how to infuse my work with that depth and emotion Ive been looking for but was always left with something to be desired. Well I’m so glad I finally bit the bullet. The PDF, the videos, the editing, everything has come together for me with this class. I don’t shoot as a business but I still wanted my images to mean something to me. Thank you so much Jen for answering all of my questions on instagram when I was so undecided and for producing such beautiful work that I couldn’t say no to! I know I will reference these materials for years to come!! <3

  • Janis says:

I had been following Jen for a while on Instagram and her work really resonated with me. Wwhen I saw this course was being offered, I was excited to sign up. I’m now 3-weeks in and it has totally exceeded my expectations. The materials are so informative and actionable – Jen offers advice, tips and strategies that really make sense – I’ve noticed a change in how I shoot already. Jen and her TA Ebony are SO supportive and giving with their time. Not only do they offer in depth critiques to the weekly assignment – they comment on every daily post. If I put in the effort to do the work – they’re right there cheering me on. Paying for full-participation is definitely worth it for the personalized feedback. I didn’t realise just how much I was retaining from the course until I had a shoot with a client yesterday. My images were more emotive than I have taken before – and a couple of times when I would have been stuck I thought “what would Jen do” and it really helped me get through it. I wish this class was longer – would love a part 2!

  • Annie Villasana says:

I saw a stunning and incredibly moving photograph of a woman standing the water come across my Instagram feed a year ago, and I said to my husband…”I want to do that.” Jen’s course was a breakout at that point, and I didn’t feel I was ready to take it yet. Months later, when I saw the full course offered I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to learn from someone who could create such a moving image. This course has given me much more than I imagined in information, support, feedback and encouragement. Jen has a wealth of knowledge to share, and she doesn’t hold back. Her investment in the coursework is evident, and you will get nothing less than her heart and soul poured into the materials prepared for you. Jen walks you through the process of creating beautifully emotive images from start to finish including acknowledging your why, creating your vision, using technical aspects to create/develop emotion, developing connections with a subject, editing for emotion and more. The feedback I have received from Jen (and her TA, Ebony) has been so positive and encouraging, yet always pushing me to grow more and learn something new. I have a feeling this course will be one I revisit time and again, because there is so much information to absorb in 4 short weeks. This has been a fantastic first experience with clickinmoms for me, and I would certainly take another of Jen’s classes if she offered one.

  • Ally Quinlan says:

Jen is so passionate and dedicated- not only to her art, but to mentoring and teaching and uplifting her students. The first week of this 4-course workshop breaks down your photography and brings you back to the beginning- to the “why” you’re shooting, makes you stop and truly understand your intention before you click. Then Jen will help you build upon that, week by week and layer upon layer. This course will show you how to shoot for the light and for the shadows, create meaningful composition to enhance your emotive vision, develop techniques to capture strong connections in your subjects, and enhance the depth in your images with stunningly beautiful editing. Her PDFs, videos, forum prompts, and weekly critiques are filled to the brim with her talented photography instruction and I honestly feel so truly privileged to be a student in this course and pick her brain. On top of all that, she’s kind and sweet and encouraging. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who wants to create deep and meaningful art.

  • Kristen Tortora says:

This course is comprehensive alone in the PDFs alone, but with ongoing interaction through feedback throughout the course in the threads, in edits, and in providing further tutorial information that isn’t in the original material, Jen has covered every aspect of how to guide a successful shoot or image from start to finish to gain an outcome that will enable the subjects of the image and the photographer to be able to remember the depth of emotion of the moment that the image was captured. Jen is passionately invested in this course, motivating and driving you to compete your best work and make more meaningful connections with your subject as the photographer and capture more meaningful moments between your subjects. As Tania mentioned above, there is a wonderful amount of support for the students from Jen and Ebony, her TA, and a partII would be amazing! I fully recommend this course!

  • Tania Fragoso says:

This is one of those workshops that never ceases to amaze you. The amount of dedication that Jen has poured into this shows and makes you want it to never end. Besides the PDF’s the videos, Jen, keeps sharing information in the forum that she thinks might be relevant and might help with our learning process. I took this as FP and it was worth the investment, the daily prompts and feedback are great for helping putting into practice all the material that is delivered in the PDF’s. The way that Jen and Ebony her TA cheer us on is contagious and creates a great atmosphere of support throughout the entire group.
If there was a second part of this workshop I would be enrolling right about now!
