I’ve learned so much during my time at What Lies Within. My photography goal for this year is to be more mindful as I make my images, and this class has jump started my progress! Jen, Chanel and Ebony were very responsive to questions and to the daily practice threads. The feedback and response to everything helped enhance the overall experience. Jen’s CC on our assignment submissions was very thorough. She lets you know what you did right, and also gives you specific actions you can do to improve your images. The PDFs are on my iPad so I can use them for reference. Jen’s approach is a good combination of combining your “why” with your technical knowledge and image processing to make more meaningful images. One thing I’ve taken away from this course is that the best images start from within.

My New Year’s resolution was to become a better photographer – I had no idea how to approach it though! Fortunately, Jen’s class was about to start and after looking at her images and reading other comments, I decided this was the first step. Oh my goodness! How fortunately I am that I happened upon this journey. This class was transformative! Through weekly PDFs and videos, guided daily assignments, and a larger weekly assignment, I can honestly say that I look through the camera lens way differently than when I began. The feedback and encouragement in both daily and weekly assignments is so positive but very instructive. People in the class come from varying backgrounds – opening myself up as a hobbyist alongside people with way more experience, technical skill, and honestly, vision, was daunting. But I saw everyone’s skill set grow in the most beautiful and open-ended ways! Thank you Jen (and Ebony and Chanel, her TAs) for a most engaging and material packed class… now to continue to practice and implement everything we have learned over the last four weeks!

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this class and even though Winter months can sometimes be a tough time to find inspiration, this class and all of the amazing content and support has helped me look forward to capturing moments each day. There is so much information covered and I know I will be reviewing the materials for months to come. I feel more capable of really capturing the moments that I’m envisioning while shooting with intent. It has been wonderful to learn from Jen’s creative process. She includes a wealth of information and I loved that so much about editing was included as well since that can be such an important step in seeing your creative vision come to life. The feedback from Jen and our TAs (Ebony and Chanel) has been wonderful and so very helpful. I’m sad to see this class come to an end but look forward to continuing to practice everything I’ve learned.

I took this class to improve my photography skills starting with exposure, posing and editing. I can honestly say that Jen has helped me with each one of those goals and 100x more. The best thing about Jen is how open she is with sharing her knowledge. She also answers every question with importance, no matter how silly you may think it is and she has given me confidence to go out and do it.

This was my first workshop on Click Photo School and it was amazing! I loved the daily work and the feedback is fantastic. I’m completely new at photography but understood most of what was going on and the rest was a welcome challenge with lots of help! Everyone is so friendly. If you are looking to put more creativity and a story behind your photos I absolutely recommend you take this course!

If you are looking create depth, intent, and connection in your images – THIS IS THE COURSE FOR YOU! What Lies Within teaches you how to find the decisive moment in which you create an image with depth and emotion!
WLW is the second class I’ve taken here at CM. The classes through CM are absolutely phenomenal! WLW instructor @jbilodeau535 is extremely thorough with each weeks lessons, very knowledgeable in all aspects of photography, and highly active in the class. I’ve learned a ton the past few weeks with regards to creating a beautiful image with intent! As we finish the last week I’m sad it’s ending and truly wish it was an 8 week course! I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned throughout 2019 and keep practicing to improve my craft! Thank you Jen for pushing us through providing positive critical critiques and ongoing inspiration and support throughout this course!

I knew I wanted to take a class this year, but didn’t really know what I was looking for, but decided that this one would be a good one. I am so happy that I did! It has been absolutely amazing and has changed the way I look at light and move my subjects at a photo shoot. I love that there are weekly assignments but also daily ones if you want to dive even deeper and get the most out of the class. People have commented that they see a difference in my photos and I just finished week three! Jen is a great teacher. She is very positive and in depth with her critiques. I cannot recommend this class enough-you will not regret it!

This class has been truly transformative! My creativity has been taken to a whole new level and my images are now capturing the depth and emotion I’ve been longing for! The content in the PDFs is so in-depth and clear. I’ve never come across a course like this (and I’ve done quite a few!) where you are taught not only the surface level of the information but so much more. Jen takes it so much deeper and shares her wealth of knowledge to really help you capture the emotive images you’re seeking. Then on top of all that Jen is so active and supportive in the forums, giving such valuable feedback, advice and generally cheering you on with all you achieve.
Originally I was thinking of taking this class as a follow along seat but I thought about how much I love Jen’s images and I pushed myself to take the class as full participation. Best decision ever made!

Where do I begin! This is my 2nd course with Jen and her teaching has transformed my photography. Her teaching style is full of support and encouragement. She’s transparent, available, and an absolute joy to work with. It’s the kind of class that you’ll miss when it’s over.

I am very grateful to Jen and her amazing workshop. To share with her these past weeks has been an honor and a period of much learning. She is a very talented woman, an open book and her class is truly a game changer. Do not doubt about taking it, is full of amazing content. Thanks Jen, for everything! I’ll keep practicing and I’ll follow you on your other classes, now I want to get them all!

This class was truly amazing. I took this class as a SA, because quite frankly I’m busy chasing my daughter around all day, and it was summer…so I didn’t know how much time I could commit as a full participant. However, I did keep an eye on the forum as much as possible, and Jen is truly present all the time. Her feedback to the students was constant, and the amount of information (videos, PDF’s, replies to questions, etc.) is more than I envisioned. A lot of times I struggle with full participation versus study along because you never know what each instructor feels is an appropriate amount of information and feedback. Jen goes way above and beyond any class I’ve taken (and I’ve taken quite a bit). If you have the time and money to invest in full participation, this is one of the classes I would say is truly worth the investment. Her heart and soul is in this class. She covers a lot of stuff, from visualization, connection, composition, location scouting, posing, to editing. Its packed with invaluable information.

This was my first Click Photoschool workshop and WOW — it was amazing. Jen really pours herself into the materials (which are extraordinarily comprehensive) and her students. I really enjoyed this experience and would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Jen’s workshop by far exceeded my expectations for a photography class. This was my first workshop and I am so happy I chose it! Jen is extremely thorough, passionate, detailed and supplies her students with information, knowledge and tools that really pushes you to grow as an artist! As an added bonus we had two amazing TA’s, Ebony and Chanel that were so helpful and encouraging throughout this coarse. I can’t recommend this workshop enough.

I have taken a bunch of photography courses and Jen’s course is hands down the best one. She is so knowledgeable and talented and an awesome teacher. The PDFs and videos are a wealth of knowledge and taking it as full participation was the best decision. Her feedback was invaluable and she is so nice! I can honestly say I view my photography in a whole new way.

Jen has really outdone herself with this course! Jen’s photography is amazing and full of beautiful emotion – she is inspiring! I am very happy to have taken this course and very thankful for all the feedback Jen has provided as well as the enormous amount of information she relays! In one PDF I started bookmarking pages to refer back to and noticed I was bookmarking the entire document :-) and the same with all her PDF’s! Her videos are tremendously helpful and insightful! I have learned so much and super excited with what I have learned! Thank you Jen and Ebony for the detailed and wonderful class and all the feedback.

I signed up for this class on a whim and it was the best decision I’ve made in a long time! I was at a place in my photography journey where I had firm grasp of the technical aspects of making a good photograph, but often my images would lack that extra something special. During the past 4 weeks of class I have definitely already seen growth in that aspect, and have captured some of my very favorite photographs to date. I can’t wait to continue to practice the concepts I learned — I know I will be referring back to the materials again and again. The pdfs and videos (including several shooting videos, which is one of my favorite learning tools!) are jam packed full of information helpful in every step of the creative process, from planning your vision pre-shot to enhancing depth and emotion in post-processing. I highly recommend this class!

I’m half way on this workshop and I’ve been loving it since the first day, it has so much detailed information and practical tips. The videos are amazing, you can see how Jen works on her sessions and there is so much to learn from it. Her work is so inspirational and she shares all her secrets. You can tell how dedicated she’s to this class, she truly put her heart and soul… Besides she puches our limits and make us work hard in a creative way!! I really recommend this class!!

Jen’s course is worth gold. It is packed with hands-on knowledge and videos to help you visualise and understand how Jen captures such beautiful and honest images. The material provided is an amazing reference guide which I keep going back to and I love how Jen broke down the course to help you assimilate and consolidate everything gradually. Jen is generous in everything she shares and her daily feedback on the work submitted was the push I really needed. She keeps challenging you to practice, try and try again and really engages fully with every students regardless of their level and knowledge. As the course draws to an end, I can already notice how my perspective has completely shifted and I see the same in the photos submitted daily by my peers. If you want to learn to capture honest and real emotion, I couldn’t recommend this class more. I am forever indebted to Jen

Since I came across Jen’s work I have been a silent admirer. When I found out that she had a Clickinmoms course I wanted to sign up ASAP… I had to wait for three months to suscribe and two weeks ago It finally began. We are half way, and What Lies Within has already blown my mind, touched my soul and nurtured my art of photography. Jen opens up in such an authentic and professional way that I’m sure my work will never be the same after this experience. All the videos, the techniques and the world of information each PDF carries is so motivating and it has inspired me to keep looking for that precise moment, for that unique emotion each relation has. :)

I have followed Jen Bilodeau’s work for awhile and was SO excited to join her class. I’m so glad I took this as a full participant. Not only is Jen a talented photographer, she is an excellent teacher. The course materials were very comprehensive, from the PDF to the videos. Jen goes through the entire process: setting objectives, developing vision, making connections, as well as technical, composition and editing aspects. She also addresses how to deal with creative ruts and confidence issues. Jen and her TA Ebony provided an interactive, fun, supportive environment. I really learned a lot about not only photography, but myself as well. I was sad when it ended!

What can I say about Jen Bilodeau, except that her work is everything for me. It is so full of life and emotion that is captured in an authentic way, something that I think all photographers strive for. This workshop is so full of “meat”. She has left nothing out and is always thorough in answering any questions that come her way. Excellent class that I would recommend for everyone.

I don’t even know where to start, if you are thinking about taking this class, don’t think, register. Jen is the perfect balance of high energy positive support and constructive advice. She takes a TON of time answering every question, big or small, and jumping in to give a tip or help you get your image where you want it. I have learned more from this 4 week class than all the presets, Youtubes, classes I’ve bought on facebook etc. You have a wonderful community as well that exposes you to even more talent, imagery and ideas. Jen is so talented and you can tell she really enjoys helping others and the successes she can help them achieve. Jen thank you so much for you dedication, hard work, and feeling of confidence you helped give me. I am forever grateful!

She helps you all the way, encourages you and has put unbelievable work in her PDF and videos. IT IS REALLY A LOT!! In the next few weeks I will be going back to the pdf, videos and all the material, because there is still so much to try, learn, practice. Watching her work, edit and commenting on our work is just perfect. Thank you Jen and ebony for having me and helping me during these weeks.

I’m loving this workshop and have been completely inspired. Jen starts you on a journey to re-examine your creative thought-process and empowers you to really look for and capture authentic connection and emotion. The amount of information that is shared in the PDF’s is quite remarkable – I know I’ll be referencing these regularly in the near future. The behind-the-scenes videos are fascinating and the energy the class takes on in the forums is contagious. Jen is beyond-generous with her time – she gives thoughtful, thorough critiques and is very accessible for any and all questions. She’s encouraging, inclusive, and gives meaningful advice. This has been my first class with clickinmom’s and it’s been a really positive experience.

It took me forever to hit “Purchase” for this workshop. I have been spending so much money on classes who promise to show me how to infuse my work with that depth and emotion Ive been looking for but was always left with something to be desired. Well I’m so glad I finally bit the bullet. The PDF, the videos, the editing, everything has come together for me with this class. I don’t shoot as a business but I still wanted my images to mean something to me. Thank you so much Jen for answering all of my questions on instagram when I was so undecided and for producing such beautiful work that I couldn’t say no to! I know I will reference these materials for years to come!! <3

I had been following Jen for a while on Instagram and her work really resonated with me. Wwhen I saw this course was being offered, I was excited to sign up. I’m now 3-weeks in and it has totally exceeded my expectations. The materials are so informative and actionable – Jen offers advice, tips and strategies that really make sense – I’ve noticed a change in how I shoot already. Jen and her TA Ebony are SO supportive and giving with their time. Not only do they offer in depth critiques to the weekly assignment – they comment on every daily post. If I put in the effort to do the work – they’re right there cheering me on. Paying for full-participation is definitely worth it for the personalized feedback. I didn’t realise just how much I was retaining from the course until I had a shoot with a client yesterday. My images were more emotive than I have taken before – and a couple of times when I would have been stuck I thought “what would Jen do” and it really helped me get through it. I wish this class was longer – would love a part 2!

I saw a stunning and incredibly moving photograph of a woman standing the water come across my Instagram feed a year ago, and I said to my husband…”I want to do that.” Jen’s course was a breakout at that point, and I didn’t feel I was ready to take it yet. Months later, when I saw the full course offered I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to learn from someone who could create such a moving image. This course has given me much more than I imagined in information, support, feedback and encouragement. Jen has a wealth of knowledge to share, and she doesn’t hold back. Her investment in the coursework is evident, and you will get nothing less than her heart and soul poured into the materials prepared for you. Jen walks you through the process of creating beautifully emotive images from start to finish including acknowledging your why, creating your vision, using technical aspects to create/develop emotion, developing connections with a subject, editing for emotion and more. The feedback I have received from Jen (and her TA, Ebony) has been so positive and encouraging, yet always pushing me to grow more and learn something new. I have a feeling this course will be one I revisit time and again, because there is so much information to absorb in 4 short weeks. This has been a fantastic first experience with clickinmoms for me, and I would certainly take another of Jen’s classes if she offered one.

Jen is so passionate and dedicated- not only to her art, but to mentoring and teaching and uplifting her students. The first week of this 4-course workshop breaks down your photography and brings you back to the beginning- to the “why” you’re shooting, makes you stop and truly understand your intention before you click. Then Jen will help you build upon that, week by week and layer upon layer. This course will show you how to shoot for the light and for the shadows, create meaningful composition to enhance your emotive vision, develop techniques to capture strong connections in your subjects, and enhance the depth in your images with stunningly beautiful editing. Her PDFs, videos, forum prompts, and weekly critiques are filled to the brim with her talented photography instruction and I honestly feel so truly privileged to be a student in this course and pick her brain. On top of all that, she’s kind and sweet and encouraging. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who wants to create deep and meaningful art.

This course is comprehensive alone in the PDFs alone, but with ongoing interaction through feedback throughout the course in the threads, in edits, and in providing further tutorial information that isn’t in the original material, Jen has covered every aspect of how to guide a successful shoot or image from start to finish to gain an outcome that will enable the subjects of the image and the photographer to be able to remember the depth of emotion of the moment that the image was captured. Jen is passionately invested in this course, motivating and driving you to compete your best work and make more meaningful connections with your subject as the photographer and capture more meaningful moments between your subjects. As Tania mentioned above, there is a wonderful amount of support for the students from Jen and Ebony, her TA, and a partII would be amazing! I fully recommend this course!

This is one of those workshops that never ceases to amaze you. The amount of dedication that Jen has poured into this shows and makes you want it to never end. Besides the PDF’s the videos, Jen, keeps sharing information in the forum that she thinks might be relevant and might help with our learning process. I took this as FP and it was worth the investment, the daily prompts and feedback are great for helping putting into practice all the material that is delivered in the PDF’s. The way that Jen and Ebony her TA cheer us on is contagious and creates a great atmosphere of support throughout the entire group.
If there was a second part of this workshop I would be enrolling right about now!
