about your presenters

This is a group Breakout featuring the work of a group of presenters: Courtney Larson, Ginger Unzueta, Clare Barker Wells, Anda Panciuk, and Cody & Allison.

Courtney Larson: Storyteller, Documentarian, Boss-lady, Creme Brulee lover, Googling Expert, Golden Girl. She has always told stories, whether it be crayola doodles, painting on a canvas, traveling the country with fellow actors, running her own jewelry business, or living abroad, she has been sharing the narratives of her life and of those around her. As a devoted artist and on the adventure of life that is motherhood, photography has become her medium of choice…and the rest is history. She lives in Phoenix, AZ with her beautiful ginger husband and their three children (nope, no gingers yet).

Ginger Unzueta believes there is beauty to be found every day. Her daily life as a mother of four is often the subject of her words and images. Ginger is passionate about encouraging others on the journey of motherhood. She strives to live with grace and gratitude and seeks to share the love and light of Christ.

Clare Barker Wells is an award-winning British photographer and educator based in Singapore (but available worldwide!) Her favourite things to capture are families in serene beautiful moments, set in gorgeous rich light. Her favourite thing to teach is HOW to create those beautiful serene moments, where to find those families, and how to see your own gorgeous light.

Anda Panciuk is an occasionally fearless photographer whose passion lies in exploring the unknown and seizing the day, all the while capturing light, lines and moments, primarily via street and travel photography. She is known to jump first, ask questions later, and to strike up conversations with complete strangers wherever her travels take her. She leads a bilingual life in Montreal with her French-Canadian husband, two children, and Miss Ruby, her crazy Cocker Spaniel.

Cody Harris is a wedding and portrait photographer based in Nashville, TN. His wife Allison is the other half of the business! They approach their business a little differently and believe in deeper connections with their clients and leverage those connections in every aspect of their client experience and business.

  • I am such a believer in authenticity and in so many various ways these artists are creating art that is authentic to them. To say I am in love with this Breakout is an understatement. Courtney and Clare just blew me away with their words and images. It’s such a great testament that art can mean different things to different people. There is just something so magical about the process and the connections artists make to finalize their image and sign their name at the bottom.

These photographers are truly an inspiration, so to have this breakout and learn from them in the comfort of my own home is INVALUABLE. I loveeee all of the content and watching them all go through and see how they cull and their reasoning behind it all is so helpful. Such a wonderful breakout– you don’t want to miss this one!

  • Kathryn says:

This breakout is PACKED with valuable material! I have loved going through the videos and seeing the ‘why’ of their beautiful shots. The artists explain exactly what they were looking for as well as describing their process. I have already gleaned so much from this breakout and it is one I will go back to when I’m needing inspiration!

  • Holly Stewart says:

I can’t believe how amazing Making the Cut is! To be able to learn from so many talented photographers wonderful. I am learning so much from hearing each of their perspectives on why they decided to change how they are shooting and what makes a photo a strong photo. There are many different styles of shooting that everyone will benefit from this breakout.

  • Delaina Carlson says:

I have been having the best time going through this workout! It is so amazing to look over all of the artists’ shoulders as they talk you through their process in getting to the perfect shot – whether it be how they were shooting, culling or post-processing. It’s especially fun to have this perspective across all of the different genres represented by these artists. I highly recommend this!

  • Sue Bahen says:

I HIGHLY recommend Making the Cut!! So often when we see an image, we are just in awe wondering how the photographer got the shot. In this breakout, the presenters share their process in how they got that keeper image and what makes a winning image. So many genres are covered from documentary and travel photography to lifestyle and couples photography. There really is something for every style. The PDF is stunning and we get to know about each photographer and their approach, but the supporting videos take us deep into each image. So worth it!!

  • Claudy C says:

I love watching over the shoulders of these very talented photographers’ and following along their creative decision making processes. So far I especially enjoy seeing Anda Panciuk’s approach to street and travel photography and will definitely use several aspects of her work method next time I am out an about.

  • Gina Shupe says:

Making the Cut is such a fantastic breakout! I have loved seeing how these very talented photographers get to their final images. There is so much video footage and each video is like being on the shoot with the photographer, but even better because you get to see the actual images they took versus just watching them shoot. In the videos they explain why they did what they did, and it is encouraging to see that not every shot is a good one. I have found this to be extremely valuable! The live run has been great with lots of extra discussion threads, creativity exercises, editing videos and live chats. I would highly recommend this breakout even if you have many other breakouts because it really is a unique opportunity to get inside the minds of a wonderful group of artists. You really don’t want to miss this one!

  • Linsey Davis says:

All this talent in ONE breakout! Seeing the contact sheets & listening to each artist talk through their shooting is extremely educational. There is a lot of video footage…which is wonderful. No matter your style of photography there is much to take away. This is a breakout that I can see myself going back to again & again!!!!

  • Ashley Jones says:

Oh my GOSH! I’m only a few hours in and am already BLOWN away! There is so much information from some incredible artists. I originally bought it because of Courtney Larsen. I’ve taken her past breakouts, and was so excited to see the other names on this one! I cannot believe how much information you get at such an affordable price.

This is MUST. It will change the way you see your own images!
