Ready to finally uncover the secrets of Adobe Lightroom?
Join us in this four week course designed for beginner to intermediate photographers. Whether you are brand new to editing or just want to dive deeper into the foundations and really utilize the power of Lightroom, we will walkthrough both the Library and Develop Modules exploring all the amazing tools that Lightroom has to offer. You will learn how to create clean consistent edits with your RAW files, correct white balance and skin tones by reading RGB values, as well as develop a fast and efficient workflow to help speed up your editing time.
Students need a copy of Lightroom 5, 6, Lightroom CC (2015) or Lightroom Classic. Lightroom CC (2017) is covered briefly but this course is geared towards learning the more robust Lightroom versions.

Pushing beyond the basics
Submit four complete edits from the same session or series of images. Edits should be consistent in color, exposure, contrast and style throughout.
Submit and edit with one of the creative presets provided and list out the adjustment tweaks made to the preset to fit the image submitted.

about your instructor
Jamie Rubeis is a natural light photographer, specializing in Lifestyle Family and Child Portrait Photography. She views custom portrait photography as a form of art. A way to capture a feeling or emotion of a fleeting moment in time. She goes beyond traditional portrait photography by encouraging connection, natural interactions and lots of love and laughs. When she is not busy shooting, editing or teaching, Jamie enjoys documenting her life as a mother of four and wife in the big city of Las Vegas. She has been featured in Click Magazine multiple times and her portfolio can be found here.

download weekly lessons
Each week, students receive a set of course materials, which generally include a PDF and instructional videos. All course materials are yours to download and keep.
Your workshop registration includes access to a private online forum for sharing and discussion. The classroom forum is open 24 hours a day so that you can learn and join discussions on your own schedule.
study & ask questions
Study on your own time, and check in on the classroom forum for interactive learning. The instructor is present in the forum every day to answer questions and offer encouragement.
complete weekly assignments
Students receive an assignment to complete each week that pertains to the topics covered in the course materials and builds upon class discussion throughout the week.
Full Participation students engage in an interactive online classroom experience that includes instructor-led group discussions and detailed, personalized guidance for the duration of the workshop. Full participation students post their assignments in the forum and receive critique each week.
Study Along students have access to all materials and are able to view all content and conversation in the main workshop forum. They also receive access to their own private Study Along subforum for peer study groups and image shares. Study along students will not be able to ask the instructor questions or request instructor feedback on their assignments, but they can follow along with instructor critiques of the Full Participation assignments.
