I’m so glad I signed up for Anita’s breakout, it was the first time I participated in one of ClickinMoms classes, and it’s worth every minute. Anita knows how to reach her audience, she’s so skillful in the art of photography and editing and always willing to share her knowledge with us. The materials we downloaded are incredible, the best! I highly recommend this BO to anyone who wants to be inspired and better their skills. The only down side is that it didn’t last longer. I know I could learn a lot more from her in a 3-4 week workshop. Thank you so much Anita.

I’m a big fan of Anita’s work and couldn’t wait to dig into her breakout! Her work is absolutely amazing so of course I pre-ordered her breakout. I know it’s the final day of the breakout today, but if you can, get it while it’s still live! Anita really put her whole heart into this breakout. The PDF looks stunning and looks very professional and is of course filled with so, so much information and her beautiful work! I felt so inspired after being in a rut for such a long time. Anita explains everything really well and does the same in her videos (and there are a lot of videos!!!) Get it while it’s still live! :)

  3. This breakout has been amazing! I’m always liked her photos and I’m super excited to learn from her! Her videos for editing are easy to understand and full of information. Her PDFs are beautiful and informative too. I recommend her breakout to any photographer who is interested in improving her photography and make her vision come true.

This breakout is jam packed full of so so much information, 2 beautiful PDF’s and many editing videos to give a more in depth understanding of all the concepts and the ability to see just how Anita’s photos are so beautifully edited. Although I had been excited about Anita’s breakout when I heard about it a few weeks ago, I wasn’t prepared for the amount of information, thought and effort that Anita put into it! Anita has poured absolutely everything into this breakout and covers everything from light to composition to colour and all importantly, printing your finished work (hands up who leaves their images sitting on the hard drive?!).

However, I was really blown away by her editing. I thought I had a pretty good grasp of LR and PS but I learned sooo much! Her vision and the way she uses this to help nudge you to the next level is impressive and I can’t thank her enough!

I am a huge fan of Anita’s. The way she connects with her children is what first drew me in. Then, It was her passion and heart that made me love her. I am only part way through this amazing Breakout. I had to tear myself away to say, WOW! I love how much of her heart that she pours in this. I have struggled the print module in Lightroom forever. Now, it is all making sense to me. Thank you Anita! Now, back to learning. Cant wait to rework my images, print them and place them on the wall where they belong.

You have to get this breakout. There is truly something for everyone. You may be at the beginning of your photography journey or very experienced and I promise you’ll learn something new and enjoy what Anita has to offer. It’s truly a steal. I am learning so much and there is tons of interaction going on right now in the forum. Anita does a wonderful job explaining everything in detail and in a way that everyone can understand. I was so excited for her information on taking portraits and the detail she gives on color management is so insightful. Her videos are great to watch as she walks you through how to edit. For me I know I’ll be coming out of this breakout as a better photographer.

I pre-ordered this BO as soon as I found out about it and I was not disappointed.
Anita is so generous with her time and the way she shares her knowledge, this breakout covers every little details of her creative and technical process. I’m still going through the materials of this BO as I feel that I need to fully grasp each concept before moving to the next as the wealth of information covered in here is immense.
I have struggled in the past to keep up with editing videos, but I did not have this issue with Anita’s videos as she explains every step thoroughly and the reason behind her choices.
I highly recommend this BO and do it while it’s live, you will not be disappointed!

Oh Tania, thank you for your review. It was my goal to make this breakout session easy to follow and break down such difficult topics as the color management, editing in LR and PS and printing processes, so I’m so glad you felt this way!

I discovered Anita’s work last year and have been a huge fan of her images since, especially her portraits and her lensbaby photos. She has always been willing to share her work and knowledge questions so I was really looking forward to her breakout regarding Emotive portraits. And I have not been disappointed, one of the best breakouts I have purchased.
She shares so many information regarding composition, lighting, lenses, post-processing techniques, color management and printing. It is so detailed and helpful. The two complete pdf’s are beautiful and very well presented and I am looking forward to discover more about her editing tips in her 14 (yes 14!) videos.
I have really enjoyed watching her bonus video on shooting with different lensbaby lenses. I am looking into purchasing one and this video is a great help in making the right decision.
You can tell Anita has put her heart and soul into every part of this breakout and you will not be disappointed! I would strongly advise to get the BO while it is live as Anita is just amazing with her cc and all the information she provides on the forum. Well done Anita!

I decided that I would be picky about the breakouts I purchased this year, and when I read the description of this one I knew I would be signing up – finally something different on offer! I have not been disappointed. The pdf is beautifully presented and provides an insight into Anita’s thought process while shooting, covering composition and lighting techniques. I love the attention to detail in the section regarding colour! Anita then walks us through post-processing, with a step-by-step look into her editing process in LR and PS, from importing and culling, to editing and retouching, to preparing images for print – yes, it is really thorough! This section is supported by many detailed videos (12 editing videos!) that have finally helped me get over my fear of Photoshop and boosted my confidence about obtaining prints that I love. This will be a valuable resource for me into the future. She is also editing 5 images from participants, so we will be able to get even more editing goodness! The forum is enthusiastic and Anita is right there with us, providing feedback and answering questions. I really think this BO is excellent value for money. I’m looking forward to printing some beautiful images of my own thanks to Anita and this amazing BO!

I have loved Anita’s work for some time and was very excited when I found out she would be teaching her own breakout. I pre-registered as soon as I could and waited impatiently for it to begin. I have been going through the materials over the last two days and I have not been disappointed.

The focus of this breakout is on creating emotive portraits and seeing them through till the final print. There is something in this breakout for everyone from the beginner to the seasoned pro. Anita hits the “basics” by discussing how she crafts an image through design and compositional elements, selecting lenses to match your vision and a great segment on color theory. She also hits the technical side of printing and discusses color space and how to get the best possible print of your images.

Anita has been very responsive to any questions and engaged with the students in the class. I would highly recommend you take this BO while it is live and take advantage of getting Anita’s feedback.

    Things I love:

The amount of information packed into her PDF and videos. I am still working through it all.
The scope of topics she discusses while still covering them in a thorough manner, she is not glossing over anything.

That she shows her editing from start to finish without resorting to a preset that I am going to have to purchase. My pet peeve with workshops and BO’s is having to purchase a preset in order to follow along with the edit. I have used LR from it’s first Beta version and still I learned some new stuff from Anita’s editing videos.

I have never participated in a “perfect” workshop and I want to include both pros and cons for every review I give. Things I would change (and I am nit-picking because I really feel that this is a quality BO packed full of useful and inspiring information)…

English is not Anita’s first language and I had to listen to some parts of her videos a second time to understand here through her charming accent. :) She has a very good grasp on the english language but her accent can make her a little hard to understand. In no way would I let this keep you from purchasing this BO as I think it is packed full of knowledge and something I will want to watch several times anyway. But I was trying to find some constructive criticism to offer and that is all I have. :)

I would recommend this BO to everyone but especially to those who have questions about light, lens selection, composition elements, portraiture, and printing your images. So basically everyone. :)

For the price of this breakout I don’t see how you could regret the purchase so go now and get it while it is live!

This makes my heart so happy Leah! Thank you so much for such a thorough and honest review! I’m so glad you are happy with the breakout session!

This breakout is incredible! I’ve always been in awe of Anita’s work so I knew I had download this when she announced it was live. The materials are informative and filled to the brim with beautiful imagery. I especially love her stunning portraits and creative use of lensbaby lenses, so I was excited to see an entire section on them. She explains every detail including settings and why. The materials are full of valuable information that has definitely inspired me creatively. With all that you are given, this truly is a steal!

I’ve only just cracked the surface with the wealth of knowledge in this course! I’ve been a fan of Anita’s work and I am humbled to be able to learn from her in this breakout. I am most excited about the exercise with color. I know that this breakout will help focus me into being a more intentional shooter. And since I print EVERY picture I take (even iPhone pics), learning her process for preparing and shooting for print will make my family albums even more beautiful! I also love that she is a Lensbaby photographer and that we will talk about shooting with these lens! I am a new mother to a Lensbaby Velvet 85 and her chapter on these creative lenses already has me focusing and composing better.

The material is invaluable and I can’t wait to dive into all the exercises and videos!

This is one of the best breakouts I have purchased. Anita has poured her heart into this and really wants to teach you how to produce the beautiful images she does. It is full of information from picking up the camera to printing. She teaches color management along with capturing light and editing and everything in-between. She makes it easy to understand for the beginner and has something for the professional as well. This breakout is full of bonus materials too with lots of editing videos. I can hardly wait to finish it all. I know this will this will be a breakout I go back and revisit over time. I highly recommend this breakout for everyone!

I’m such a huge fan of Anita’s work, and I knew that I would get her breakout as soon as it was released. I’ve read a lot of breakouts, and this really is one of my favorites! The layout of the pdf is so professional, and easy to read. She really breaks down all the information you need from shooting to print in concise easy to understand sections. I’m so, so impressed by the level of detail, and the amount of information this breakout contains. She takes concepts that aren’t easy to understand like color management, and gives such great information on your options and why she chooses her settings. I also love that she has a whole section on lensbaby lenses because although I love the look of them I didn’t really know the differences between the different lenses or how to use them effectively. This breakout is for photographers of all levels, it really gives all the technical concepts along with her creative vision, with a lot of reference material. I will be pouring over this breakout long after it ends!

Oh my goodness Mickie, thank you so very much for your kind comments, you are the sweetest! I am super excited you loved the breakout.
