I can not recommend this breakout highly enough. I believe this is the best photography course I’ve ever done. Not only has this course changed the way I shoot but the way in which I look at the world around me. I see more opportunities for photographs than ever before. I paid $25 & honestly it was not enough, I think it’s now $35 & that is still a bargain. The PDF is so well written: clear & concise – I want to refer to it for years to come. Then the editing videos … well let’s just say I haven’t used a preset since watching them!!!! Clean editing at its best with slight enhancements but keeping everything real. You won’t regret putting a little money into this & Rebecca has loaded it with content so really it’s a time investment more than anything else … I still have not watched all the videos. THANK YOU Rebecca.

I discovered Rebecca’s work when I took my first workshop at Clickin Moms over a year ago. I just love her style, the composition, the way she incorporates colors in her photography, the way she is capturing ordinary adventures and making beautiful colorful images. What I really love about her work too, and you will see in her breakout, is that her editing style is enhancing the pictures but they are still reflecting reality and how the scene looks like.
When I saw she had a breakout about colors and composition I had to have it :)
Her pdf is super well organized, illustrated with her beautiful pictures and is packed with information.
The editing videos are just priceless! she is showing you every steps she takes when she is editing her pictures in Lr and / or Photoshop. In the discussion videos, she will show you all her SOOC pictures for a given scene and will take you through her process to select the images she will then edit, she is an open book.
If like me you are sometimes struggling with composition or how to incorporate colors in your children or clients photography, this breakout is for you!

This is one of the best breakouts I’ve bought (and I’ve bought a lot!). When I saw the PDF, I thought, “Hmmm, this is going to be a good one,” then when I started to watch the videos, I realized that Rebecca is a bit of an overachiever; (lucky for her students) she went above and beyond. Seriously, I can’t believe I only paid $25 for this. much. information.

She took the time to not only show video of her locations and explain why she chose them, but then she showed the images she created right after. She explains everything clearly, calmly, and concisely, and repeats things (for example: her editing shortcuts) so if you didn’t get it the first time, you don’t need to rewind. BUT I did anyway (rewind, that is) b/c I wanted to write things down step by step.

I highly recommend this breakout—it’s incredibly thorough, yet Rebecca makes it simple to understand, and includes a hearty mix of shooting videos, editing videos, and written explanation and examples.

Just posted a new photo on IG and had a new follower comment: “Nice composition!”
Why thank you, New Follower and thank you, Rebecca.

This breakout is one of the best that I’ve taken this year. The information Rebecca provides is really great. I’ve never given so much thought to color and composition. I look forward to putting more of her tips and techniques to use in the New Year. In addition to the great information provided in the materials, Rebecca has been active in the forums, asking questions and encouraging discussion. While there are composition guidelines, not everyone will choose the same composition or color scheme and it’s been interesting to read everyone’s thoughts about their choices. I was looking to break out of a rut and I think this breakout will encourage me to look at composition, and most definitely color, in a different way.

Get this breakout! Rebecca has obviously put a tremendous amount of time and effort into the materials. It is chock full of information and is an absolute steal at only $25! She has an amazing eye for colour and composition and she explains these concepts in an easily understandable way. The pdf is peppered throughout by her awesome images to help illustrate each point. The shooting video is an invaluable glimpse of the world through Rebecca’s eyes, showing how she approaches even the most mundane of locations, being drawn by the lines or the colour or some other feature, to produce some fantastic images. She has also been extremely active in the forum, prompting discussions of concepts introduced in the pdf and giving feedback on students’ image shares. I have so much still to learn from this and am inspired to grab my camera and go out and practice!

Rebecca has an amazing eye for color and composition and this breakout really is a treat. The pdf is beautiful and full of information. Rebecca’s images are gorgeous, and when I first went through the pdf I just flipped the pages to look at all of her images before I took the the time to really read her words. Even though I knew about some of the compositional elements that Rebecca mentions in her breakout, everything is much clearer to me now. Her explanations are so clear and she overlays the compositions on her images and shows various compositions of the same image, and it has really made me think about the difference that composition makes to an image.

The videos included in this breakout are fantastic. First of all there is a shooting video where you get to see Rebecca in action and she talks through what she is seeing when she surveys a scene. She includes pull backs and then shows the images she captured at the scene. It was fascinating to see her thought process.

Rebecca also includes a long video where she walks through images shot at various locations both indoors and outdoors. She talks about her vision for the image and then explains how she edited the image to show how she achieved her vision.

I am learning so much going through this breakout and it really is a steal at $25! Rebecca’s images are inspiring and she is so good at explaining her process. Thanks for creating this breakout, I cannot recommend it enough!

Y’all…. this breakout is everything. It has so much information, I can’t believe it’s only $25. I am someone who already uses some of this in my photography but even still, I learned SO MUCH INFORMATION. Rebecca put so much work into the pdf and the videos and this is something that I am going to be referencing again and again. I love that she doesn’t just talk about composition and color by themselves, but shows how to put it al together to create a powerful photo. Color theory is a complex subject and I get lost in all the feelings each color conveys, but Rebecca talks about it in a way that is so easy to understand. She even goes into depth about how your gear affects color which I never knew. This breakout is invaluable for all levels and I highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful breakout with a thorough discussion of the core concepts. Rebecca is such a warm friendly relatable voice throughout the PDF and the videos, and you feel as if you’re being led by a friend who talks you through the stages of composition and then searching for colours to make your images stronger day by day. She shares tips and tricks on all aspects of making your photos and then delves deeper into concepts like colour theory and how she elicits such strong, bold images from her subjects.

I knew it would be good because her IG feed is so full of beautiful eye catching compositions and colours but the videos are a wonderful way of really understanding how she does this – the behind the scenes was fun to watch, and the editing videos are invaluable because she shows how just a few small tweaks can enhance your images so significantly.

Thank you – it’s an absolute delight of a breakout Rebecca!!!

This breakout was such a joy to read through. The main PDF is packed with vibrant colors, creative compositions and exciting locations. I finished reading the material feeling so inspired to pick up my camera! I found so many interesting and useful details in Rebecca’s discussion of color theory. As well, Rebecca includes a wealth of examples and useful tips to help you elevate your work using color and composition. The bonus PDF is just the icing on the cake. It was so thought-provoking to read through Rebecca’s interviews with 8 different photographers regarding how they use color. They all shoot with varying styles, so it was very informative to read firsthand how the basics of color theory really span any genre and are useful to individuals at all levels of their photography journey. Such an amazing breakout!

I can’t speak highly enough about this breakout. It is PACKED with incredible information!! When I first was getting into photography and learning how to shoot in Manual mode, I came across Rebecca’s work and was instantly drawn to it. I would find myself going through her Instagram feed and clicking on every single photo to take it all in. Back then I had no idea what composition was or just how much colour could impact the viewers eyes. All I knew was that I loved how colourful and vivid her photos were and each photo was so pleasing to my eye. Fast forward a few years and I have a much better understanding, but this breakout BLEW MY MIND with just how much I still had to learn. My favourite thing about it was that she holds NOTHING back. This ebook is like getting a seat inside her brain. She explains concepts so well in the BO and they’re accompanied by beautiful photos that perfectly explain what she’s teaching. The videos are PHENOMENAL!!! Not only do you get to watch her shoot and see what she’s drawn to, but you get to hear WHY. Where I would normally see a bland parking garage or abandoned building with what I’d assume is distracting writing on the walls, Rebecca sees something COMPLETELY different. She sees lines, framing opportunities, balancing elements, complementary colours, and a brilliant photo in the making. She breaks everything down and gives such easy to implement tips that have me dying to get outside (even in the freezing cold) to practice everything that I’ve learned. I feel like my eyes have been opened to a whole new world and I’ve been let in on a ton of secrets that are going to elevate my photography. And the editing videos are a whole other story. There were SO many tips and tricks things I had no idea about that I am instantly going to be implementing now. Rebecca – I can’t thank you enough for putting what is clearly your heart and soul into this BO and for sharing your ENTIRE process. I learned a ton and am without a doubt going to be a better photographer because of everything you pored into this. THANK YOU!!!!!

Who doesn’t want a magic button to elevate their shooting?! Who doesn’t want to create magic while going on a photo walk with their kids, family, spouse and make it fun, enjoyable and come away with amazing shots? You want it..? Rebecca has got it!
It is without question that Rebecca has set the bar incredibly high for her work and through her break out has made the reach a fully attainable one for people that strive to develop, grow and improve their photography themselves. With any art comes learning, foundations and understanding, followed by intention, excellence and striving and finally, once all of that is mastered, rule breaking and fun are stirred heavily into the mix with the effect being amazing and elevated art! I have admired Rebecca’s work for years, colour, composition, intriguing and fun, joyful, intentional and all the words….! This break out is, in my opinion, a guide that not a single photographer should pass up. Needed for those starting out, then equally as important for those shooting for the longest of times needing a reboot, a reminder and tons and tons of inspiration! It is a BO that delves well beyond the basics and fundamentals, rises through well thought out and excellent explanations and finally soars through to how it all comes together as it does. Rebecca’s easy manner, her concise choices and her fun filled nature make this break out something not only excllene in terms of learning but also joy filled! It’s attainable guys. This way of shooting for herself, envisioning, seeing, shooting and finally creating the art that she sees so fluidly around her – you too can learn to create art in the most ordinary of spaces and make it look magical!
