Inspiring wall displays that you can create, too!

Every year I have a goal and that is to print my photos.

It’s important to let your photos and your work live outside your hard drives. Sometimes it is simply to print snapshots of my family and keep my many scrapbooks up to date so that my kids can flip through the pages and relive their memories.

But I also love the idea of filling my house with my work and my children. So I set another goal when I moved into my new house three years ago which is to print photos that I can display on my walls each year. Here are some examples of those displays.

One other way to display your photos is small coffee table books from Artifact Uprising or Chatbooks. These come especially handy for Instagram printing.

If that wasn’t enough to get your photos off your hard drive and into your hands, here is a quick look at my super easy scrapbook. Just get a binder (I use We R Memory Keepers, get some 4×6 sleeves, or 12×12 for large scrapbook pages, and print a ton of photos in bulk. I love Persnickety Prints for this purpose. Then just fill up the pages. Easy peasy. I do this once every quarter!

And lastly, a few favorites from the #projectprint project on Instagram:

Happy printing!

So many great ideas here! I print photos often–small prints (4×6, 5×7) and photo books, but I what I really want are some big canvases. Several of the walls in my house have been blank since we moved in (um, 4 years ago), because I just can’t decide which photos use for the canvases. Totally ridiculous, I know!

I love to hang both. But I do not mix color with the black and white. Maybe it’s an ocd thing?!

I have 8 canvases in my home and would love more of them! Thanks

I prefer a mixture of both. I love black & white for really dramatic photos but I love color for the life that it brings.

I like a mix of black & white and color prints. Sometimes I group them together, and other times I mix them up. It just depends on the feel the image portrays.

I just did an entire display in my bedroom of black and whites – mainly because I have lots of color elsewhere in the room. In the living area I have mostly color though! 🙂

I do mostly color that coordinates with the room. However when I do black and white I pick one spot in picture and make it color – then break up the picture into multiple frames.
