Have you ever began a session only to become flustered with posing a weird combination of subjects?  ”Shooting 101: Posed for Success” is all about establishing your roots when it comes to posing a variety of subjects.  This 4 week course will cover the fundamentals of posing, working with toddlers and teenagers, posing men and women and working with families and large groups.  We will discuss many different types of posing situations, why they work and why they may not.  At the end of every week watch a video of Lora working with her own subjects. Learn how she maneuvers in the field and jumps from one pose to the next.

Every review here mentions the quality of Lora’s materials, and I have to agree, they are PHENOMENAL. The PDFs are clearly written and chock full of valuable information, providing numerous examples of what to do & why as well as examples of what NOT to do. I really appreciated the instructional videos showing Lora at work each week. These just blew my mind…so well done and so helpful. Lora is an absolutely awesome instructor: she was timely with her posting of materials as well as her responses to questions and her CCs, which were detailed, helpful, and encouraging. It was a fun class and I learned a ton. Whatever else she might teach in the future, I’m signing up!!!

I loved this workshop, which I’ve just completed as a SA. I am just so impressed by Lora Swinson. All the materials she provides are highly professional and extensive. The feedback, help and advice she gives online in the workshop forum is excellent, and it seems that nothing is ever too much trouble for her.

I took this course out of mild curiosity – I’m a hobbyist, with no interest whatsoever in going into business – but Lora has managed to elicit a real enthusiasm for ‘posing’ that I never could have dreamed of; my family won’t know what’s hit them!

My only real complaint is that Lora doesn’t run more workshops, she is a real asset to CM.

I am so glad I took this course because it has really helped make my photos look more professional and given me more confidence when working with clients. While taking this course I realized that knowing how to pose people for photos is a great next step after learning how to use my camera and edit my images. Lora is very knowledgeable and organized. Her CCs are thorough and I really learned a lot from them. Highly recommend!

I loved this class. I learned a ton and I know I improved my photography because of it. Lora is great as a teacher and I love how positive she is when giving critique on the photos I took. She made me feel so great about what I was doing but gave me way to do even better in the future. I recommend this to any one looking to improve their posing.

I loved this class! I was blown away each week by how comprehensive the materials were, and I learned so much during these 4 weeks. Lora is a fabulous teacher. This class is an absolute MUST!

LOVED this class! I came into class unsure and always second guessing myself when it came to posing people. Lora was so thorough in all of her written materials and also in the videos of her shooting on location. Lora’s feedback was so detailed and helpful and she was always so pleasant and available to answer all of our questions. It’s always sad to see a class end, but I feel like I learned so much and gained so much confidence in the why’s and how’s of posing in so many different situations. CM classes are always fantastic! I’ve taken plenty of classes elsewhere online and in person and nothing ever compares to the caliber of CM workshops.

I totally echo Monica and Alexis in my feeling about this class. I just wish that it could have lasted longer as I was just starting to feel like I was “getting it”. Thankfully I can refer back and refer often to the wonderful PDF’s and videos.

This was my first ever workshop with CM’s and it was fantastic! Posing is such a crucial aspect to photography and Lora’s workshop was so in depth and informative. The pdf’s she provided were full of great poses tips and tricks and she even provided great resources when you are on the go! I loved the critique process as well, a real learning experience and I would def. recommend this class!

I would love to have taken it in the spring when the weather on the east coast was being a little more cooperative but Lora did a great job of realizing the limitations of weather.

I wasn’t sure about this workshop heading in, but I must say, it was one of the best ones I’ve taken thus far! Lora did a wonderful job showing us the importance of knowing the how and why to pose subjects, both individually and in groups. The written materials and videos were well thought out, contain a wealth of valuable information, and will definitely be referred to over and over again! If you have any “issues” when it comes to posing, then this workshop is a must!

I’m very sad I missed out on this one – with Christmas, I didn’t have the extra to book sooner. Will this be offered again, maybe in the spring?? I think this would help my style grow by leaps and bounds!

Hi Jennifer! Yes, this course will be offered again, likely in mid to late Spring 2013.
