Student Reviews of Sarah Wilkerson

I had a portfolio review done with Sarah. I was apprehensive to say the least. Sarah was incredible. She asked me for my images 24 hours before our time together. She must have spent a great deal of time reviewing my images before we got together online because she had some incredibly detailed critique for me. She pointed out my strengths (which were things I hadn’t thought of before) and my weaknesses. She was kind and helpful and spent a great deal of time going over each image with me. She also showed me in post some examples of ways to improve the images. I truly walked away from the experience feeling like I knew EXACTLY what I needed to work on. She then told me that if I ever needed advice about an image to email her. I know that she genuinely cared about helping me along in this journey and that I wasn’t just a dollar sign to her. I will do it again in a heartbeat as I continue to make progress.

They say that the greatest teachers are those who are able to facilitate learning from within; they are those who inspire. And I can say wholeheartedly without a doubt that Sarah fits this description. When I was in a spiral of self doubt, Sarah helped me to see my own positive attributes and put into my own words what I felt like I wanted to fix. Instead of just telling me what I could do better, what was wrong, she helped me see where I had grown and decide where I wanted to go. Sarah has inspired me, not only as an artist but as a person, and continues to do so everyday. I will never be able to thank her enough for her genius, her imagination, her creativity that she has shared with me and inspired in me on my own artistic journey. I cannot thank you enough Sarah!!
