This course will give you the tools you need to get started with off camera flash. From selecting and using your triggers and receivers to understanding and positioning your light, we will cover the basics of off camera flash.
course fee:
$300/person for full participation

Registration is limited to 30 participants.

- the equipment that you need to get started
- selecting a trigger and receiver
- the dreaded sync speed- what it means and how to work within it
- understanding exposure when working with a flash
- moving your light to create different effects
- dealing with shadows
- tweaking your subject and/or your light to achieve the desired effect * creating drama and dealing with tough situations

what you need: It is important to be relatively comfortable with your camera. You should understand how to meter in-camera and function on a basic level in manual mode (although help will be provided if you feel sticky on either of those two points). You will need a camera plus lens, flash, tripod, and trigger/receiver set (inexpensive options and suggestions will be given).

Michelle Turner is a coveted national speaker and author and has published two books about fashionable wedding photography.
