A Day In The Life with Ardelle Neubert

Summer holidays mean more time with my boys (Coen and Jarett), summer heat (plus no snow, yeah) and spending our days in the beautiful mountain valley of Columbia Valley, BC. This was also a long weekend so hubby joined us, we got 5 whole days with dad, double yeah!

Starting my day at sunrise to go for a run.

Home for breakfast and a tea.

Jarett wasn’t too happy with my breakfast choice of oatmeal with blueberries and almonds. Hope he turns that frown upside down soon or this is going to be a long day.

Boys read books every morning, keeps them busy while I shower.

We packed up and headed for the skatepark for some early morning BMX riding (the boys’ favourite summer activity).

Today was HOT, I think it got to 35deg Celcius. We needed a cool down in the lake. A little swimming and boogie board floating.

Checking on our baby birds. Mama Robin built a nest under our deck roofing. She must be off looking for some food for her little crew.

Not a bad place to do a little work.

Sometimes Jarett just can’t get enough of Coen, he adores his big brother. The feeling must be mutual because Coen doesn’t seem to mind the attention.

Cairo you poor old guy, a little tired after your walk?

Ribs for supper. They are all looking forward to this, it’s their fave. I don’t eat beef or pork so I am having quinoa on my salad (mmmm yum).

At the pool for a quick swim.

Snuggles before bed. I felt a little left out so I got in on the snuggle action after the picture.
