Alphabet Photo Game

We just played a super fun game over at Clickinmoms.  We had an Alphabet Photo Game!  Members had to post a pic of something in the shape of each letter of the alphabet but had to post it in alphabetical order with no letter skipping.  Sooooo fun!

BONUS Scavenger Hunt Items!!!!

As most of you know the Clickinmoms Annual Scavenger Hunt is on! If you don’t know, you are probably asking “what’s this all about?”.

It is for the month of July. The idea is to have fun and shoot more. I think this will also be a fun summer activity for the entire family. The best part is that any skill level can/should play. Here is how it will work:

1) Go to the Scavenger hunt forum here and start a new thread with your user name and real name (below here). This will be your personal thread for posting images of your finds.

2) Read the list of items to find (found in the forums). We will post new items every week or so, but you can find the items anytime from now through July 31st.

3) When you find an item on the list you must take a picture of it next to a sign that says “ClickinMoms.” The sign can be any size (even scratch paper in a pinch), but it must be in the picture (not editied/PS’ed in). Post the image in your thread.

4) You will earn one point for each item you find. There are some bonus items that are worth more. You do not need to find every item. That might be impossible! The people with the top 10 total points win! The top earner will get to pick a prize package first, then the 2nd….great prizes to be won.

Some “Winning Shots” from clickinmoms 2nd Beginners Workshop

Our talented mentors Lynne & Misti ran a very successful {round 2} Beginners Workshop. The workshop was designed for the participants to learn how to get great shots sooc (straight out of camera) without worrying about fixing them up in Photoshop. That said, these are all jpeg images, sooc and shot in manual. Keep in mind most of these gals didn’t even understand the relationship between aperture, shutter speed and ISO a month ago and had never shot in manual. We chose 5 images from the last assignment (it was very hard to choose as they were all ROCKIN’)! Way to go girls. Your growth is amazing, as are all of you!

in the Lessons/Challenges forum, and if you aren’t already playing, it’s
time to pull out your camera, because …

We’re upping the Ante!!

Allow me to formally announce Clickin Moms’ FIRST ANNUAL ABC CHALLENGE!

* HOW TO PLAY *

1) Shoot a new image that represents a letter of the alphabet in some way;
the subject may begin with your chosen letter or may be shaped like your
chosen letter. An entry for the letter “T,” for example, may be an image of
a tomato, a father tickling his baby, a T-shaped power pole, or a child
standing with arms outstretched (again, shaped like a “T”).

2) Head over to the ABC Challenge Forum
If you’re not already a member, now is as good a time as any to click on the “join clickin moms” link in the menu bar above!

3) Post your image in the correct Letter thread.

* THE RULES *

1) One entry per letter per person. Each member can conceivably enter up
to 26 times – with one submission for each letter of the alphabet.

2) This is a get-out-and-shoot challenge! Images must have been shot on or
after March 12, 2010. We must be able to verify that all winners meet the
date requirement.

3) YOU must have shot and must own the copyright to each image that you
submit.

4) Entries are not finalized until the contest deadline; if you submit an
entry and later shoot an image that you like even better, you are welcome
to swap out your photo (just edit your post to do so!).
